​Beyond Hegemonic Narratives and Myths

Ondřej Žíla is a lecturer at the Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, Prague. He received his PhD in modern history from Charles University. His interests include ethno-demographic changes, forced migrations and post-war and post-socialist reconstruction in former Yugoslavia. He published a monograph “You Are My Only Homeland” (in Czech) and more than twenty articles and book chapters. He is currently conducting fieldwork on Serbs in Bosnia and preparing a monograph on the civil war in Bosnia. He has previously performed fieldwork in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia.
