Barbora Knappová is a PhD student at the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, Prague, where she graduated in Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies. She is also finishing an MA in Political Theory and Contemporary History at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. She had been on student exchanges at University College London and at the University of Sarajevo where she researched historical narratives and decision-making structures in Bosnian museums. She has been deeply interested in memory, the political uses of history and identity, and nation-building in post-conflict and transitional societies of the Balkans ever since she entered university. Consequently, she has addressed the topic of memory and identity in all her theses.
